How to do Valentine's Day on a budget

The stress of finances is overwhelming for the majority of college students, especially with Feb. 14 just around the corner. With a couple of weeks to prepare, here are a few cheap Valentine’s Day idea that will make your significant other and wallet happy.

No-Tech for 24 hours

Turn off your for phone for the day, and give your sweetheart the gift of your undivided attention.

Hand-written note

Tell your special someone what you love about them – those subtle qualities and habits that make them an individual. Or write about your favorite memories with them.

Picnic

A romantic picnic with their favorite food and drink. Take them to their favorite place and just hang out on a nice blanket.

Library Movie Night

For those of us who don’t have Netflix, go to the Kimbel library and check out the movies they have available. You may be able to find some of the greats that aren’t on Netflix anymore too.

Do something spontaneous!

Surprise them at work with their favorite lunch. Have all of their laundry done the morning. Re-create your first date. Be creative!
