Coastal Carolina women’s tennis has won their last three matches, improving their record to 10-5 on the season.
The Lady Chanticleers started the year 2-3 but have gone 8-2 since a hard 4-3 loss at Campbell back on Valentine’s Day.
On Wednesday, Mar. 14, the Lady Chanticleers edged out a win over College of Charleston, winning 4-3.
The Chants opened the match taking the doubles point on courts one and three.
Sara Bondar and Somer Dalla-Bona began the day with a 6-1 victory at the number one court and Iryna Vardanian and Natalie Wall finished the point with a 6-3 win at the number three court.
Rylie Cox gave the lead back to Coastal with a 6-1, 6-4 win at the number four court, and Vardanian clinched the match with a 6-2, 7-6 victory at the number one court.
On Mar. 16, the Lady Chanticleers swept USC Upstate 7-0 with the Chants taking courts one through five in straight sets, and Jessie Mount won by default at court number six.
This was the third shutout for the women’s tennis team this season.
The following day, the Chants took a 4-3 win over Charlotte.
While the 49ers won the doubles point, Coastal came back by winning five of the six singles points.
The Chants return to Sun Belt Conference play on March 24 when they host Georgia Southern for at 10 a.m. match at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
