Thank you CCU!

Before I set foot on Coastal Carolina University’s campus, I had no idea what to expect and what college life was going to be like. I had so many expectations and what goals did I want to achieve while I am at CCU.

Even before coming to CCU, I have always had a passion for writing stories because, whenever I tried to speak or say something I always felt that my voice was never being heard. When I started reading stories and writing them, I felt that this could be my voice. After my stories were published, it always felt amazing hearing that people really loved what I wrote about them or what they read. As a reporter, I even felt that this is something that can help me with college because it helped improve my papers I would always write for my classes and I can use what I have learned in journalism with my career.

There were also so many amazing opportunities that I got to experience while attending CCU. I was a part of the equestrian team, I did saltwater anglers, competed in the Miss CCU pageant, shark club, delight, sailing club, and even the chanticleer newspaper. All of which gave me amazing memories that I will never ever forget.

Most of all, I got to meet some amazing people all throughout my college experience and even made some amazing friendships that will last a lifetime.

Looking back on what I have experienced and gained with both school and all my extracurricular activities, I felt that they all helped play a major role in my college journey. I have also grown tremendously as a young woman here on this campus by accomplishing so many things at such a young age. But I know as I walk across that stage to pick up my diploma that this is only just the beginning of my life.

That is just a part of my story and the rest has yet to come as I open the next chapter of my life.

I would like to thank my family, my friends who have become my second family, the staff here at CCU, my clubs, and most of all my fellow reporters and my editors Ian and Caroline.

Thank you all so much for helping me grow as a person and thank you for the fun college experience. This is not a goodbye this is just a CCU later thank you Coastal Carolina University for what has been an unforgettable experience that I will never forget.
