I began my college career at College of Charleston with a declared major in psychology. After a few semesters, I realized Psychology was not the route I wanted to take.
It took a lot of exploration, but I eventually came to discover graphic design as my true passion. Coastal Carolina is one of few universities in the state that offers a Graphic Design major. Over these last three years, Coastal has felt more like home than Charleston ever did.
I found my nooks here: InterVarsity and The Chanticleer Newspaper. I have gained many great friends through InterVarsity who have made my time here so special. In addition, I have had the privilege to help lead a group of freshman woman in ministry.
The Chanticleer was an opportunity that literally walked through the door. In 2017, a staff member came to my class to announce that the paper was looking for a Graphic Designer. Eventually, landing me in the position of Art Director. The staff I work with are extraordinarily dedicated and hardworking individuals. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people.
My time at Coastal Carolina has definitely had its hardships, but ultimately resulted in great reward. Thank you to all my professors, coworkers, and friends for making my experience at CCU so great.
Best of luck to all the Chanticleers,
