According to the digital media company, Pure Wow, “The pretty hue popped up on runways in every city during fashion month, including Lacoste, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jonathan Simkhai, and Roksanda.” We usually see lighter, pastel colors trending in the spring; however, these fall trends are apparently “rebellious” this year.

Sweater vests made an appearance on the runway around 2019/2020 and they are not going anywhere. The good news about this is that sweater vests are easy to obtain not only from fast fashion sites but thrift stores as well. They are also an easy layer piece to include in your wardrobe. Fashion magazine Cosmopolitan said, “Yes to sweater vests!!!”

Not only have there been cutouts on tops, but there have also been cutouts appearing on skirts, pants, accessories, etc. This trend allows showing some skin in the colder season, tying into the theme of “rebellious” fashion this year. As Cosmopolitan said, “Feel that crisp fall air on your skin with a few cutouts here and there.”
Low, loose-fitting jeans are the way to go this season.

These include mom jeans, boyfriend jeans, low-rise slouch jeans and wide-leg jeans. You do not have to leave all comfort behind post-pandemic because baggy, loose jeans will keep you comfy while remaining trendy. According to Vogue, “Slouchy, wide-leg jeans emerged as a key look for fall at Balenciaga, Y/Project, and the up-and-coming London label Jawara Alleyne.”
Printed pants are still on-trend this upcoming fall; however, printed tights are now making an appearance this season.

Some of these prints, including checkered, leopard, zebra, swirls, etc. This trend may be out of some people’s comfort zone, but it can be fun to play around with, especially with Halloween coming up.
Fashion designer Prabal Gurung said, “Printed tights are definitely a look, but I promise they'll take your fall 'fit to the next level.”
The upcoming fall fashion trends are providing bold, rebellious looks just in time for everyone to make their grand entrance back into the world post-COVID-19 quarantine. What trends will you decide to rock this fall?
