New ice cream shop brings a fun twist on dessert to the Grand Strand

Buzzed Bull Creamery opened for business at the end of July 2021 in Myrtle Beach, providing buzzed and non-buzzed ice cream options.

That’s right: if you are 21-years-old or older, you can get your liquid nitrogen ice cream infused with alcohol. Each flavor has the option for non-alcoholic, so even if you are not of age or just not looking to get “buzzed,” you can still go enjoy one of their delicious desserts!

“We will be offering a student discount on Tuesdays from September until June. It will be 15% off an order per student ID. There is also a local’s discount which is 10% off with a South Carolina ID,” co-owner of the Myrtle Beach store Alexander Flores said.

The service at the shop was great, and the employee was kind and helpful as I decided which flavor I would have, they all sounded good.

I went with the Strawberry Shortcake, which is strawberry, cake batter, graham crackers, topped with whipped cream. I got a small size, buzzed with a shot of strawberry vodka, and it was only about 10 dollars. The price is very fair for the size of the dessert.

Each one is made-to-order, and because of how it is made with liquid nitrogen, there are even dairy-free options. The ice-cream flavor is added after, but each one has the same base. So, for dairy-free ice cream, one just chooses a dairy-free flavor.

They also have a food and coffee menu. According to the Buzzed Bull Creamery website, the coffee can also be buzzed, however, this does not apply to the Myrtle Beach location.

This is a great place to stop to cool off after the beach, or just to hang out with friends on a night out! It is right by the beach, located at 1207 South Kings Highway. Right now, their hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This ice cream shop is unique, the service was great, and the Strawberry Shortcake ice cream was amazing! I will definitely be back soon to try Death by Chocolate.

The menu has so many great options! The building is aesthetically pleasing with its neutral black and white colors, however, it goes against what one would typically expect an ice cream parlor to look like. Photo by Alyssa L. Brennan.
